The iodine solution is used to determine free sulphur dioxide (SO₂) in wine. Add it drop by drop until the colour changes. This tells you whether your wine is sufficiently sulphured.
Depending on the method, the 250 ml bottle is enough for about 75 to 125 measurements. Store cool, dry and dark, close tightly after use and keep out of the reach of children. For analytical use only, not for consumption.
