Arauner Champagne Sparkling Wine Yeast, Twin Pack
The Arauner Champagne sparkling wine yeast is a pure culture wine yeast for the second fermentation, turning a still base wine into sparkling or semi-sparkling wine. This twin pack contains two portions.
To prepare the starter, dissolve the contents of the sachet in about an eighth of a liter (1/8 l) of lukewarm water at 30 to 35 °C and let the yeast rehydrate for 2 to 3 hours. Temperature management is key: the difference between the yeast starter and the base wine should be no more than 2 °C, otherwise the sensitive yeast gets a cold shock and struggles to start.
Arauner belongs to the long-established company founded in Kitzingen in 1897, whose operations ended in May 2024; we carry on the original remaining stock.
