Joenos Wineguard Sulphur Powder E224, 10 g

Potassium metabisulphite (E224) is the standard tool when you want to protect your wine from oxidation and unwanted microorganisms. The Wineguard powder from Joenos contains 50 % active SO2, so you only need small amounts.

The 10 g sachet suits hobby batches. Important: store it dry and tightly sealed, because potassium metabisulphite draws moisture and then loses its effect. If you want to work very precisely, weigh it out with a fine scale; the dosage follows the package instructions.

Honestly: if your wine is drunk young and quickly, you can often manage without sulphuring. If it is meant to age, potassium metabisulphite belongs in the cellar.
