Arauner Kitzinger Precipitated Chalk 500 g for Deacidification

If a must contains too much acid, the resulting wine will taste sharp and unbalanced. Precipitated chalk, i.e. calcium carbonate, binds part of the acid and thus lowers the total acidity of the must. This gives you a proven aid for targeted deacidification.

Before deacidifying, measure the total acidity so you know how much correction is actually needed. Base the exact addition on this measurement and the package instructions, and work your way up carefully instead of adding too much at once. The product comes from the Arauner Kitzinger range.
