Joenos Wineguard Potassium Metabisulfite, 3x 10 g Sulfur Powder for Sulfuring Wine

Wineguard is a potassium metabisulfite sulfur powder (KDS, E 224) with which you sulfur wine, must and juices. Sulfur works in two ways in winemaking: it protects against unwanted microorganisms and acts as an antioxidant, thus preserving taste, colour and freshness. This helps you prevent wine faults and an oxidative note during fermentation and storage.

The pack contains sulfur powder in 3x 10 g, handy for targeted applications and small batches. As a guideline, the manufacturer states up to 10 g per 100 litres (10 g/hl), depending on requirements. The powder is strongly hygroscopic, so use opened sachets promptly. Work carefully, avoid inhaling the dust and follow the dosage as per the packaging instructions.
