Arauner Kitzinger Clinitest, rapid test for residual sugar in wine
CHF 120.00
Whether a wine is really fully fermented cannot always be said clearly with the hydrometer, especially with dark fruit mashes. The Clinitest helps you to quickly assess the final degree of fermentation and, before bottling, to make sure that the residual sugar is within the desired range.
The application is simple: using the dropper pipette, you fill wine up to the mark in the measuring glass, add a tablet and shake briefly. The mixture heats up by itself in the process. After the reaction, you compare the resulting colour with the colour scale and read off the sugar range. This way you can tell, for example, whether a wine declared as dry actually meets that specification. Details on how to carry it out are in the instructions.
- Suitable for: quick determination of the residual sugar in wine and mash
- Use: add a tablet to the sample, compare the colour with the scale
- Advantage: clear even with dark fruit mashes
- Origin: original Kitzinger (Arauner, Kitzingen)
