Press varnish serves as a protective coating for the outside surfaces of wine barrels and presses. It is only suitable for surfaces that come into contact with wine if the manufacturer expressly declares it suitable for food contact (Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004); we do not have such a declaration. This red varnish is spirit-soluble and formulated on a natural basis. It covers well and protects the wood from the outside so that it stays durable.

The 375 ml metal tin is enough for several applications. According to the manufacturer, the varnish keeps for around two years when stored in a cool, dry place. Close the tin tightly again after opening so that its quality is preserved. The product is not subject to any VOC category. Apply as per the notes on the packaging; for a clean result, apply it professionally.
