Ascorbic acid, better known as vitamin C, serves as an antioxidant in winemaking. It captures oxygen before it attacks color and aroma, and is therefore often used in oxygen-sensitive steps such as bottling.

The powder can be weighed out precisely and dissolves easily. The 10 g pack suits the small quantities in which ascorbic acid is usually used. Dose according to the package instructions and use the agent in a targeted way rather than generously. Keep in mind that ascorbic acid can complement sulfiting but does not replace it.
